Solodovnikov & Pedersen ( ZMUC) GoogleMaps ; 1 ex., Vientiane province, Phou Khao Khouay , 18°20'N, 102°49'E, 700-800 m, strongly disturbed primary rain forest, near forest edge, flight interception trap, 26.-30.V.2008, leg. Solodovnikov & Pedersen ( ZMUC) GoogleMaps ; 1 ex., same data, but near strongly disturbed primary rain forest, at light, 25.-30.V.2008 ( cAss) GoogleMaps ; 3 exs., Louangphrabang province, Thong Khan, 19°35'N, 101°58'E, 750 m, 11.-21.V.2002, leg. Kubaň ( NHMB, cAss) GoogleMaps .
Comment: The vast distribution of R. japonicus ranges from Sri Lanka to the Philippines, Indonesia, and southern Japan ( ASSING 2012a). The above specimens from Laos represent new country records.
