Habitus Fig. 5. Length 1.27 mm. Colour black, shining, appearing polished, antennae and legs dusky yellow. Dorsum very finely punctulated and pubescent, particularly towards the lateral margins. Antennomeres 3–11 0.43 mm long. Head with shorter, thicker pubescence on frons, temples slightly raised over antennal insertions. Width across eyes 0.35 mm. Mentum and submentum Fig. 44 View FIGURES 37 – 49. 37. P . Pronotum with narrow lateral margins just turning onto anterior angles and with setae at hind angles, 0.55 mm wide, 0.33 mm long. Etymology. Refers to the large size of the species.
Diagnosis. Distinguished by its large size.
Type data: Holotype: ♂, PERU: Cusco Dept.: Villa Carmen Field Station, cafeteria ~ 1.7 km west, research transect, 12.89250°S 71.41917°W, 555m, 21–22.V.2011, D.J.Bennett & E. Razuri, flight intercept trap, PER-11- FIT-007 ( MUSM).
