Material examined: BBB 2016: St. 12; St. 13.

Distribution: The species occurs along both sides of the South Atlantic. In southwestern Atlantic the species had been frequently reported in Brazilian and Argentinean coasts ( Oliveira et al. 2016).

Remarks: Immature colonies were found detached from the substrate.
