Material examined: GARCÍA 2015: St. 17 (MACN-In: 43467).

Distribution: Polyp widely distributed between boreal and subantarctic waters, in South America the species was reported in Pacific Ocean, Chile, from 41° to 54°S and Atlantic Ocean, Argentina, at 42.50°S 62.45°W and near to Malvinas (Falkland) Islands ( Oliveira et al. 2016). This is the first record at MPA Namuncurá I.

Remarks: Synonyms in the area: Stegopoma fastigiatum ( Vervoort 1972; Blanco 1994).
