Described by Mason (1981) and originally collected by sweep sampling in wet mixed forest. Material examined. From the Canadian National Collection ( CNC), female paratype No. 15789 and one female specimen: CANADA: Ontario, Hamilton, 813/viii/81, Col. M.
Sanborne, Malaise trap. These specimens were used to make the ESEM photos, and for designing the key. The description by Mason (1981) is adequate for recognizing this species.
