Holotype. Male ( NHMUK), Chile, Llanquihue, Casa Pangue.
Distribution. Argentina: Río Negro Province (San Carlos de Bariloche). Chile: Región de La Araucanía: Malleco Province (Angol, Pailahueque), Cautín Province (Loncoche); Región de Los Ríos: Valdivia Province (Loncoche 7 km SW, Río Pilmaiquen at Road 5); Región de Los Lagos: Osorno Province (Lago Llanquihue shore NE), Llanquihue Province (Casa Pangue, Ensenada 8 km W, Lago Chapo, Llanquihue, Pargua, Puerto Varas & 3 km E), Chiloé Province (Castro, Isla Mechuque).

Remarks. J. Zuska and C.O. Berg examined the holotype ( Zuska & Berg 1974: 340). They wrote, “Examination of it discloses that it is a male (not a female as indicated by Malloch, 1933: 319).”
