Diastephanus frontilinea Morley, 1917 , Entomologist, 50, 109.
Type material. Holotype ♀, India: Assam-Eastern Bengal border, 20.vi.1905, Coll.? from PUSA collection, ( NHM).
Diagnosis. Body length 10.5 mm, ovipositor sheath length 9 mm. Frons faintly reticulate, a longitudinal line on frons and head; vertex longitudinally aciculate, two carinae between the lateral ocelli; occiput finely and closely trans-aciculate; pronotum multicarinate, semi-annular, smooth and shiny; mesoscutum smooth and shiny, sparsely punctate; metapleuron smooth and subaciculate; scutellum smooth and shiny with three rows of punctures on either side; propodeum coriaceous between very largely and partly confluent pits; hind coxa trans-striate; hind-femora alutaceous with two teeth on ventral margin with few denticles; first metasomal tergite trans-aciculate, longer than combined remaining segments; ovipositor sheath longer than metasoma, with a subapical pale ivory band.
Male. Unknown.
Distribution. Oriental: India-Bangladesh border.
Host. Unknown.
Note. The types are in very bad condition, therefore, the above mentioned diagnosis is obtained from the original description.
