Syringophiloidus glandarii ( Fritsch, 1958) View in CoL
This species was originally described from Garrulus glandarius Linnaeus ( Passeriformes : Corvidae ) from Germany ( Fritsch 1958). Later on, it was reported from the type host species from Russia (Bochkov 2001) and from Pica pica (Linnaeus) (Corvidae) from Japan ( Skoracki 2004a). In Kazakhstan, this species was recorded from Corvus monedula Linnaeus and Corvus frugilegus Linnaeus (Corvidae) .
Material examined. 5 females and 3 males ( AVB 07-0110-003) from Corvus monedula Linnaeus ( Passeriformes : Corvidae ) (new host); KAZAKHSTAN: Ongtustik Qazaqstan, Chockpak Ornithological Station, 1134 m, 42°30'45.2"N, 70°35'46.2"E, 1 October 2007, coll. A. Bochkov. Four females and 3 males ( AVB 07-0110-004) from Corvus frugilegus Linnaeus (new host); KAZAKHSTAN: Ongtustik Qazaqstan, Chockpak Ornithological Station, 1134 m, 42°30'45.2"N, 70°35'46.2"E, 1 October 2007, coll. A. Bochkov.
