This species was recently described from Terathopius ecaudatus (Daudin) (Falconiformes: Accipitridae ) from Africa ( Skoracki et al. 2010b). In Kazakhstan, this species was recorded from Accipiter nisus (Linnaeus) (Falconiformes: Accipitridae ).
