Peristeriophila zenadourae ( Clark, 1964)

This species was originally described from Zenaida macroura (Linnaeus) ( Columbiformes : Columbiidae) from the USA ( Clark 1964). Later on, it was recorded from Zenaida auriculata (De Murs) from Argentina ( Skoracki & Sikora 2002), Zenaida asiatica (Linnaeus) from the USA ( Casto 1976), and Columba livia Gmelin ( Columbiformes : Columbidae ) from the USA ( Casto 1976) and North Africa ( Bochkov & Mironov 1998). In Kazakhstan, this species was recorded from Columba oenas Linnaeus.

Material examined. 3 females and 3 males ( AVB 07-0110-010) from Columba oenas Linnaeus ( Columbiformes : Columbidae ) (new host); KAZAKHSTAN: Ongtustik Qazaqstan, Chockpak Ornithological Station, 1134 m, 42°30'45.2"N, 70°35'46.2"E, 1 October 2007, coll. A. Bochkov.
