This species was originally described from Acrocephalus scirpaceus ( Passeriformes : Sylviidae ) from Poland ( Skoracki 1999). In Kazakhstan, this species was recorded from Acrocephalus dumetorum Blyth.

Material examined. 4 females from Acrocephalus dumetorum Blyth ( Passeriformes : Sylviidae ) (new host); KAZAKHSTAN: South-Western Altai, Zyryanovskiy Distr., May 2000, coll. D. Apanaskevich.
