Description. Adult ( Fig. 10 ) with wingspan 13.0 mm.

Diagnosis. This species belongs to the japonicella -group. The termen of the forewing in this species is obliquely straight, without a notch below the apex, which can separate it from most species in this genus. Glyphipterix regula is closest to G. japonicella Zeller, 1877 , but can be easily separated by the forewing having pure white costal streaks, which are pale ochreous-yellowish in G. japonicella .

Material examined. CHINA, Shaanxi Province: 1 ♀, Huoditang forest farm (33°25′N 108°27′E), Ningshan County, 1620 m, 15.vi.1987, leg. Houhun Li, genitalia slide No. LTT12180.

Distribution. China (Shaanxi), Japan, Russia.

Remarks. The ductus bursae of this species in our collection is rather short ( Fig. 28 ), which is consistent with that from Japan ( Arita 1987), but is much shorter than that in the allotype. This species is newly recorded for China.
