Quadraceps punctatus regressus is characterized by: a marked reduction of its black spots ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3. a d); the prothorax having four clearly separated spots ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4. a g); and the first abdominal segment of the male with a dark anterior spot, but not in the female. This is the first record of Q. punctatus regressus from the Armenian gull ( Larus armenicus View in CoL ).
