Type species: Parabolocratus guttata Uhler, 1896 , by original designation.

Diagnosis. Body moderately small to medium sized with coloration yellow to greenish yellow; forewing marked with fuscous patches at apex of claval suture, A1 and A2 veins, m-cu1 cross vein, at base of M3+4 vein and periphery of apical cells; leg with numerous dark pigment spots; head nearly as wide as pronotum, anterior margin with transverse ridge; crown spatulate and triangularly produced, coronal suture distinct, texture shagreen with slight longitudinal or radial striations, transversely furrowed medially, side slightly convex or slightly produced, two symmetrically arranged spots subapically; ocelli on anterior margin of head viewed from above; anterior tentorial branches L-shaped (hooked); face rather flat and moderately long; frontoclypeus broad basally and narrow apically, with oblique wrinkles, lateral margin constricted near antennae; frontoclypeal suture visible; clypellus expanded distally, side concave; lora large; gena slightly concave; antennae long, transcending half body length; antennal base arising at upper corners of eyes; antennal ledge strong and oblique; pronotum with irregular and transverse striations, anterior margin arched, lateral margin longish, carinate, hind margin concave; scutellum nearly equal in length to pronotum, scutoscutellar sulcus distinct; forewing with four apical cells and three subapical cells, inner anteapical cell open, median and outer anteapical cells closed, appendix narrow; fore femur with anteromedial (AM1) seta present only, intercalary (IC) row with fine setae apically, anteroventral (AV) row reduced to very small fine hairs; protibia dorsal surface rounded and narrow, with 1+4 dorsal setae; metafemur with apical setal formula 2+2+1.

Male genitalia: anterior margin of pygophore with or without apodeme on each side; pygofer basolateral membranous cleft present; side apically tapering, rounded or produced posteroventrally, with several macrosetae and numerous short microsetae, with ventrocaudal process ( P. quadrispinosa ) or without process; valve triangular or semi-circular; subgenital plate broad and rhomboidal, with fine hair-like microsetae arising from lateral margin, irregularly arranged, apical region digitate and lightly sclerotized; style broadly bilobed basally, preapical lobe prominent or not with a few short setae, apical process foot-like or finger-like, moderately elongate; connective usually Y-shaped, anterior arms slender and short, stem produced posteriorly; aedeagus situated dorsad of connective and linked to it by membrane from nearly mid-length of stem; aedeagus with dorsal apodeme well developed; shaft curved posteroventrally or dorsad, short with a pair of basal or apical processes; gonopore subapical on posterior surface; segment X large, sclerotized laterally and dorsally.

Female genitalia: pygofer with numerous setae; ovipositor distinctly surpassing apex of pygofer; first valvulae with strigate texture dorsally; second valvulae united at mid-length, slightly expanded distally, with fine dorsal teeth restricted to approximately apical 1/3.
