- Thienemannimyia (Thienemannimyia) sp. ZUR-1 may be the species referred to by Watson & Heyn (1993) as Thienemannimyia nr barberi (Coq) . It resembles T. barberi (Coquillett) , a western US species, but the wing pattern appears slightly different; comparison of more Costa Rican and Nearctic material is necessary.
