Phloeothrips lucasseni Krüger, 1890: 105 View in CoL .
This species is widely distributed to India, Indochina, Java, China, Taiwan, Japan, Australia and Hawaii. It can easily be distinguished from congeners by combination of the following character states: body uniformly brown; head distinctly longer than wide; maxillary stylets rather short, retracted to the median portion between postocular setae and base; antennal segment III with (0+1) sense cone; abdominal tergite I with sclerites at both sides of pelta; all tibiae yellow. Okajima (2006) provided a full description of this species.
