Remarks. This is the smaller of the two known Fidicina species (body length 35 mm of less) in Suriname. Fresh specimens have a green head and prothorax. It can be distinguished from F. mannifera ( Fabricius, 1803) in Suriname by the inability to see the male opercula projecting laterally when viewed from the dorsal surface, semicircular rather than triangular posterolateral corner of the male operculum, male timbal cover extending slightly below metascutellar plate, fore femora primary and apical spines angled with respect to the femoral axis, and lateral branch of uncus is straight in F. christinae .

Distribution. The species has been reported previously from Brazil, French Guiana, and Venezuela ( Sanborn 2011a; 2013) with a recent range expansion to include Bolivia ( Sanborn 2019b).
