Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from its congeners by the sub-triangular valva with a small subtriangular ventral process near apex and the sacculus produced to a free, S-shaped distal process in the male genitalia.

Description. Adult (Fig. 1). Wingspan 7.0‾8.0 mm. Head with vertex shining white, frons brown, occiput dark ochreous brown. Labial palpus with second segment dark brown on outer surface, greyish white on inner surface; third segment white except black apically. Antenna with scape white; flagellum white alternated with black dorsally, dark brown ventrally. Thorax and tegula dark ochreous brown. Forewing dark ochreous brown, distal 2/5 covered with deep silvery-grey mottled black scales; antemedian fascia white, from basal 1/4 of costal margin obliquely outward to basal 4/5 of dorsum, edged with sparse black scales; cilia ochreous yellow around apex, remaining cilia dark grey. Hindwing and cilia dark grey. Foreleg black; mid- and hindlegs grey ventrally, black dorsally, mid tibia with a tuft of white scales apically; tarsi white at apex of each tarsomere dorsally.

Male genitalia (Fig. 8). Uncus weakly sclerotized, sub-triangular, with two small wart-like processes at basal 1/3 on dorsal surface, rounded apically. Tegumen equally wide anteriorly. Valva sub-triangular, broad at base, gradually narrowed to apex, with a small triangular ventral process near apex; costa slightly concave at basal 1/3. Saccu- lus short, approximately 1/4 length of valva, produced to a free S-shaped distal process; this distal process strongly produced ventromedially, distinctly concave inward distally, rounded apically. Saccus triangular, as long as uncus. Juxta being a weakly sclerotized plate; anterior lobe narrow. Aedeagus curved in an arc, as long as valva, with a curved, narrow lanceolate process on distal 1/4; cornutus absent.

Female genitalia (Fig. 15). Apophyses anteriores very short, about 1/5 length of apophyses posteriores. Lamella postvaginalis large, V-shaped, each arm spine-like, pointed at apex. Antrum short, trapezoidal. Ductus bursae mem- branous, narrow posteriorly, widened anteriorly, about twice as long as corpus bursae. Corpus bursae sub-elliptical, densely microtrichiate; signum elliptical, denticulate.

Distribution. China (Hainan).

Etymology. This specific epithet is derived from the Latin prefix curvi-, and the Latin word processus, referring to the free S-shaped distal process of the sacculus.
