Horkeliella View in CoL was described by Rydberg (1908a) for two species close to Horkelia View in CoL and Ivesia View in CoL . Various authors have included these species in either genus, but since it was resurrected for regional Floras in the western U.S.A. ( Ertter & Reveal, 2014), it has been treated as a separate genus. Type: Horkeliella purpurascens (S.Wats.) Rydb. View in CoL (basionym Horkelia purpurascens S.Wats. View in CoL ). Horkeliella View in CoL belongs to the Ivesioid clade.
