Ivesia Torr. View in CoL & A.Gray 1858

When Ivesia View in CoL was described ( Torrey & Gray, 1858), three species were listed. One of these, I. gordonii (Hook.) Torr. View in CoL & A.Gray (basionym Horkelia gordonii Hook. View in CoL ), was later designated as type by Rydberg (1908a). Ivesia View in CoL belongs to the Ivesioid clade.

Dynamidium Fourr. ” 1868, not validly published.

Chamaephyton Fourr. ” 1868, not validly published.

“ Hypargyreum Fourr.” 1868, not validly published.

In a list of plants naturally occurring in the Rhône valley, Fourreau (1868) published three new genera comprising subsets of Potentilla species. These names were published without descriptions, images or references to previous publications. Thus, these genus names are not validly published ( Turland & al., 2018: Art. 38) and all species names based on these genera are not validly published, too (Art. 35.1). However, Rydberg (1910: 377) considered Potentilla verna L., P. supina L., and P. argentea L., respectively, as types for these genera. These three species belong to the Argentea clade.
