( Figures 1 View Figure 1 , 2 View Figure 2 )

Length of body 365, width 245.

Dorsum. Propodosomal shield bearing four pairs of setae (vi, ve, sci, sce), one pair of eyes, 10 in diameter, and one pair of post-ocular bodies, ellipsoidal in shape, length of post-ocular bodies 35, width 10. Metapodosomal and opisthosomal shields fused, with six pairs of setae (c 1, d 1, d 2, e 1, e 2, f 1). Suranal shield tucked under body, bearing two pairs of setae (h 1,2). Dorsal shields with faint reticulate patterns formed by polygonal cells, and each bearing irregularly shaped vacuoles. Dorsal setae clearly serrate. Dimensions of setae as follows: vi 47; ve 45, sci 50; sce 68; c 1 38; d 1 43, d 2 53; e 1 48; e 2 63; f 1 75; h 1 63; h 2 43; distances between setae: vi–vi 28; ve–ve 110; vi–ve 53; sci–sci 175; ve–sci 50; sce–sce 230; sci–sce 50; c 1 – c 1 55; d 2 – d 2 210; c 1 – d 1 78; c 1 – d 2 88; d 1 – d 1 53; d 1 – d 2 83, e 2 – e 2 163; d 2 – e 2 88; d 1 – e 1 90; d 1 – e 2 78; e 1 – e 1 50; e 2 – e 1 63; f 1 – f 1 68; e 1 – f 1 43; e 2 – f 1 88; h 1 – h 1 25; h 2 – h 2 40; h 1 – h 2 75.

Venter. Venter covered with striae. Humeral and coxisternal shields absent. Ventral podosoma with three pairs of setae (1a, 3a, 4a). Aggenital area with three pairs of aggenital setae (ag 1–3). Anogenital shields with one pair of genital setae (g 1) and three pairs of pseudanal setae (ps 1–3).

Legs. Leg I 235; leg II 205; leg III 213; leg IV 220. Counts of setae on leg segments as follows (solenidia in parenthesis): coxae 2–1–2–2, trochanters 1–1–1–0, femora 4–4– 3–2, genua 4(Κ)–3–1–1, tibiae 6(ϕρ)–6(ϕρ)–6(ϕρ)–6(ϕρ), tarsi 12(ω)–10(ω)–8(ω)–8(ω).

Gnathosoma . With two pairs of adoral setae (ro 1,2) distally, one pair of subcapitular setae (m) proximally. Length of subcapitular setae: m 33; distance between the setae: m–m 38. Chelicera 88. Palp 125. Palp setal formula (from trochanters to tarsi) 0–3– 1–3+1 claw–7 (including solenidion and eupathidium), eupathidium trifid distally.

Male and other immature stages

Unknown.

Etymology

This species is named after the country in which it was found.

Remarks

The new species differs from all others except for Mediolata californica Gonzalez- Rodriguez, 1965 by having three setae on palp femur and the details of leg chaetotaxy. It can be distinguished from M. californica by suranal shield being clearly separated from opisthosomal shield, tucked under body.
