Previously recorded from Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe ( Ferreira 1972; Pokorný et al. 2009).
New country record for Swaziland: One specimen, Simunye, 25 March 2016. A female was found crawling around an outdoor shopping center in company with specimens of Heliocopris andersoni Bates. They apparently had been attracted to the lights there the previous night .
