Previously recorded from Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe ( Ferreira 1972; Josso and Prévost 2000).

New country record for Zambia: Six specimens, Kagem emerald mine area, 7–19 December 2011. Specimens were found in pitfall traps baited with fresh cattle dung .

This monotypic genus contains the following species recorded from ‘forest patches from East Africa as far south as central Mozambique in southern Africa’ ( Davis et al. 2008).
