Distribution. Western and northern Europe, and Croatia. Portugal: 10 provinces.

Ecology. Mainly found on riverbanks. In northwestern Europe, it is mainly found in open humid grassy biotopes (e.g., marshlands), and on banks of stagnant or running, often brackish, water bodies in coastal regions. Rarity (%). 23.0 (common). Fairly common (FL).

Activity period. March–November.
