Type material. Holotype 3, China: Yunnan, Menglun, 19 May 1991, Wang Yinglun and Tian Rungang; Paratypes: China: 13, same data as holotype; 13, Yunnan, Mengla, Yaoqu, 5 May 1991, Wang Yinglun and Tian Rungang (all in NWAFU).

Etymology. The specific epithet ‘ dorsocavatus ’ refers to the deeply concave dorsal surface of the aedeagal shaft.

Description. Body length (including tegmen):3 4.5 – 4.6mm.

Male genitalia: Pygophore elongate. Connective stem about twice length of arms. Aedeagal shaft relatively narrow throughout length, in lateral view; dorsal surface deeply concave from midlength to apex; apical process similar in length to length of shaft.

Diagnosis: This species is closely related to Mimotettix alboguttulatus , but the aedeagal shaft is deeply concave at the dorsal margin.
