Type species. Thyrolambrus astroides Rathbun, 1894 View in CoL [Type locality: off Havana, Cuba, 23°10’42”N, 82°18’24”W].
Remarks. In addition to its type species, Thyrolambrus also includes T. efflorescens (Alcock, 1895) (IWP) and T. verrucibrachium Zimmerman & Martin, 1999 (EP) ( Zimmerman & Martin 1999; Tan & Ng 2007).
