Material. 1 ♀ ( ZCUMZ No. 6), Iran, Mazandaran Province, Menjiroud, Kinj Village, Nowshahr County, N36°24'28.377", E51°30'5.157", 1610 m, Quercus and Fagus forest, coll. P. Davoodi; 1 ♀ ( ZCUMZ No. 18), Darabkola village, Central District of Miandorud County, N36°33'39.02", E53°15'9.77", 120 m, Carpinus betulus , Parrotia persica , Quercus and Fagus forest; 2 ♀, 1 ♂ ( ZCUMZ No. 29, 31, 32), Gilan Province, Ghale roudkhan, Fouman County, Fouman city, N37°3'49.904", E49°14'30.588".
Records in the HE. Azerbaijan Republic: Lenkaran (as L. piceus caucasica, Muralewicz 1926 , 1929; Zalesskaja 1972; Samedov et al. 1976), Masally, Lerik, Astara, and Yardimli districts ( Zalesskaja 1972, 1978), Iran: Gilan and Mazandaran provinces (present record).
Distribution. Central Europe and Caucasus ( Zalesskaja 1978; Stoev 2007).
Remarks. L. piceus caucasica was synonymized under L. piceus by Zalesskaja (1978).
This species is new to the centipede fauna of Iran.
