Material. Tavush: Ijevan , forest, ex larva, 21.09.1950, S. Iablokoff-Khnzorian leg. (4 ex.) ; Kotayk: ~ 5 km E Gokht, Geghard monastery, 15.06.1949, S. Iablokoff-Khzorian leg. ; Ararat: “Khosrov Forest” State reserve, Vedi area , 02.06.1982, ex Juniperus branches, M. Kalashian leg. (6 ex.) ; Syunik: env. Meghri, Kaladash Mt. , 22.04.1954 and 01.06.1957, S. Iablokoff-Khzorian leg.
Distribution. Great Britain, South and Central Europe, Ukraine, South European Russia, North Africa, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Israel, Syria, Asian Turkey, Iran, Armenia, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, China, North Korea, Taiwan ( Knížek 2011b; Alonso-Zarazaga et al. 2017, 2023); Armenia: as both Phloeosinus bicolor (Brullé, 1832) and Ph. transcaspicus Semenov, 1903 reported by Mirzoian (1951) from Tavush Province (Dilijan, Ijevan), by Iablokoff-Khnzorian (1961, 1976) without distribution data and by Mirzoian (1977) from North Armenia, Ararat valley and Meghri (Syunik Province).
