Genus Nycteridocaulus Atyeo, 1966

Type species

Nycteridocaulus tyranni Atyeo, 1966

This genus includes seven species, associated with Neotropical passerines of the families Tyrannidae View in CoL , Pipridae View in CoL , Vireonidae View in CoL , Cotingidae View in CoL and Furnariidae View in CoL ( Atyeo 1966b; Alzuet and Brandetti 1986). Undetermined species have also been reported from the Parulidae View in CoL ( Kanegae et al. 2008; Enout et al. 2012). Species of this genus have the genital arch low and its branches are sinuously curved.
