Characteristics

Larva. Unknown.

Winged stages. Similar to E. (Rh.) ornatus . Male and female subimago differ from E. (Rh.) ornatus by contrasting dark brown ventral ark of prealar bridge ( Figs 107–109 View FIGURES 103–110 ) [in contrast to narrowly colored with lighter brown in E. (Rh.) ornatus — Fig. 110 View FIGURES 103–110 ]. Male imago differs from E. (Rh.) ornatus and other species by penis lobes closely brought together ( Figs 111, 113–114 View FIGURES 111–116 ). Hypodermal coloration of abdominal terga of male and female imago and subimago is more composite than in E. (Rh.) ornatus ( Figs 104–106 View FIGURES 103–110 ).

Egg. Chorion is densely and irregularly covered with roundish papilla and fewer knob-terminated coiled thread ( KTC); micropiles wide and roundish ( Figs 115–116 View FIGURES 111–116 ). In contrast to E. (Rh.) ornatus , net-like relief or its traces are completely absent.

Dimension. Fore wing length 4–5 mm.
