Diagnosis. Boudiennyia belongs to the Ooctonus group of genera. It is the only Australian genus of the group and is distinguished from the superficially similar genus Gonatocerus , whose species also have an 8-segmented funicle and entire clava, as follows: propodeum with a distinct transverse carina (costula) joining the longitudinal submedian carinae ( Fig. 59 View FIGURES 54–59 ); fore wing with venation more than half wing length and hypochaeta much closer to proximal macrochaeta than to distal macrochaeta ( Fig. 55 View FIGURES 54–59 ); gaster distincly petiolate, the petiole at least 3x as long as wide.
