Distribution: India: Kashmir and North India. Elsewhere : Canada, China, Europe, Japan, Korea, Krasnoyarsk, Poland, Russia, South Africa, South Urals, and Ukraine (Omelko & Omelko 2010).

Illustrations: Adult and genitalia ( Kuroko 1961: 2; Omelko & Omelko 2010: 54; Razak et al. 2011: 30).

Host: Chenopodium album ( Amaranthaceae ) (Omelko & Omelko 2010).

Remark: Razak et al. (2011) mentioned the first report of genus from the Oriental region. However, Beccaloni et al. (2005) states the misidentified Gelechia stipella var. stipivicinella from Kashmir.
