Automolis metallica Joicey & Talbot, 1916: 57 . — Type locality: Panama, Chiriqui. — Type specimens: Described from 2 male syntypes (BMNH; one of the syntypes labeled TYPE).

TYPE LOCALITY. — Costa Rica, [ Limon], Guapiles.

TYPE SPECIMEN. — Lectotype female no.16 890 designated by Watson (1971: 40) ( USNM).
