Type material examined. Holotype of Geodromicus palpalis ♂: ‘Dampelek | b. Jumla’ <printed>, ‘Gebiet von Jumla | Westnepal, lg. H.Franz’ <printed>, ‘HOLOTYPE’ <red, printed>, ‘ Geodromicus | palpalis | det. H. Coiffait 1976 [printed]’ <handwritten> ( MHNH). Paratypes: 1 ♀: same data as the holotype except of red printed label: ‘PARATYPE’ ( MHNH); 1 ♂ (dissected; Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–5 ): ‘Dampelek | b. Jumla’ <printed>, ‘Gebiet von Jumla | Westnepal, lg.H.Franz’ <printed>, ‘TYPE’ <red, printed>, ‘ Geodromicus | palpalis | H.COIFFAIT det. 1976 [printed]’ <handwritten>, ‘ Hygrodromicus | coriaceus | ( Cameron, 1924) | Shavrin A.V. det. 2023’ ( NMW); 2 ♀♀: ‘Umg. Maharigaon | 3000–3500 m’ <printed>, ‘Gebiet von Jumla | Westnepal, lg.H.Franz’ <printed>, ‘TYPE’ <red, printed>, ‘PARATYPE’ <red, printed>, ‘ Hygrodromicus | coriaceus | ( Cameron, 1924) | Shavrin A.V. det. 2023’ ( NMW).
Material examined. INDIA: UTTARAKHAND: 1 ♀: ‘ Chakrata Distr. , Chuli Khud 8000`’, ‘ Dr. Cameron 14.V.[19]22.’ ( MHNG) ; NEPAL: KARNALI: 1 ♂: N Khari Lagna, 29°22,14´N 82°09,17´E. 3280 m a.s.l. 21.06.1999. M. Hartmann leg. (cSh) GoogleMaps ; 2 ♀♀: same District, Talphi, NE, Maharigaun. 3300 m a.s.l. 20.06.1997. A. Weigel leg. ( NME) .
Remarks. Geodromicus palpalis was originally described from “Dampelek près Jumla, Népal occidental…”. Based on the study of the type material from MHNH and NMW, I found that based on external and internal morphological features it is conspecific with H. coriaceus . Thus, G. palpalis was synonymized with the latter species. Hygrodromicus coriaceus is widely distributed in the Himalayan Region from Kashmir to Nepal ( Shavrin 2021).
