WATERHOUSE & JANSON stellen 1855 fest, dass sich in STEPHENS’ Sammlung auf dem Platz von S. sulcicollis View in CoL ein Exemplar des S. melanopus View in CoL befindet. Wieso sie dieses Stück als "evidently misplaced" bezeichnen, bleibt unklar. FAUVEL hat das 1869 wohl ebenso gesehen, sonst hätte er seine Synonymie nicht ausgesprochen. RYE kannte FAUVELs Arbeit offenbar noch nicht, sonst hätte er sich ihm sicher angeschlossen. Bei S. sulcicollis View in CoL , so dürfen wir mit Sicherheit annehmen, handelt es sich um ein nicht völlig ausgefärbtes Stück (" pedibus rufo-piceis ") des S. melanopus View in CoL , worauf auch schon der Name " sulcicollis " bezeichnend hinweist. Ich wiederhole also und bekräftige hiermit die schon 1869 ausgesprochene Synonymie.
