Nephrotoma martynovi Alexander, 1935 View in CoL ( Figs 44–52 View Figures 44–52 )
Nephrotoma martynovi Alexander, 1935c: 234 View in CoL (original description); Liu et al., 2009: 41 (redescription).
Redescription. Hypopygium relatively massive, tergite ninth and sternite ninth separated totally ( Fig. 44 View Figures 44–52 ). Tergite ninth with a pair of lateral horns slender and glabrous; intermediate lobes having many black teeth, its apex further terminating into an acute point ( Fig. 45 View Figures 44–52 ). Sternite ninth split medially on lateral surface, shallowly emarginated on posterior border ( Figs 44, 46 View Figures 44–52 ). Outer gonostylus lanceolate, widened medially, rounded at apex ( Fig. 47 View Figures 44–52 ). Inner gonostylus with apical beak elongated, slightly rounded at tip, basal beak obtuse, its inner surface with a long triangular plate; posterolateral part rounded and obtused, with many long setae on its upper margin; dorsal crest absent ( Fig. 48 View Figures 44–52 ). Sternite eighth with caudal margin entire, or slightly emarginated, without lobe, densely covered with long setae but not modified into brushes ( Figs 44, 46 View Figures 44–52 ). Aedeagal guide obtuse apically, gonapophyses elongated, flattened, appearing as duck’s head, ventral appendage of aedeagal guide longer than gonapophyses, straight, oblique and acute at apex ( Fig. 49 View Figures 44–52 ). Semen pump with ejaculatory apodeme massive, elongated apically and protruding anteriorly, ejaculatory apodeme divided by a V-shaped notch ( Fig. 50 View Figures 44–52 ). Anterior immovable apodeme curved dorsally ( Fig. 51 View Figures 44–52 ). Posterior immovable apodeme short, slightly acute to apex ( Fig. 51 View Figures 44–52 ). Aedeagus truncated apically, with a hork at apical one third, and a long plate in middle region ( Fig. 52 View Figures 44–52 ).
Material examined. 2♂, China, Heilongjiang, Baoquanling , 2.V.2019, leg. Yixin Huang.
Distribution. China (Hebei, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia), Russia, Mongolia, North Korea.
Remarks. The species is closely allied to N. subpallida Alexander, 1925 from Japan, but differs from the latter by the intermediate lobe of tergite ninth strongly protruded (slightly protruded in N. subpallida ), and the dorsal crest of inner gonostylus absent (present in N. subpallida ).
