Type locality: France, Aude , Carcassone. According to Moquin-Tandon (1856: 379) this locality is incorrect
(see Gittenberger 1973: 57), but this has no consequences for the current interpretation of this species. Distribution.— Spain, the Pyrenees and NE Spain, south to the province of Teruel.
