Gynacantha View in CoL sp. cf. stevensoni
( Figs 10 View FIGURES 3–11 , 20 View FIGURES 12–21 , 32 View FIGURE 32 , 34g View FIGURE 34 , 36l, 36p, 36t View FIGURE 36 )
Apart from the holotype of G. stevensoni there is only one specimen from Tonga available .
1 ♂: Accession number NZAC04147005; Kingdom of Tonga, Tongatapu Island, Nuku’alofa , at light 28 October 1974, P. Maddison leg.; studied .
This may be the same as G. stevensoni even though there are several double cells in both Hw in the proximal half of the space between CuP and A1, the superior anal appendages appear somewhat longer and the apical portion
of the inferior appendage appears somewhat narrower. This however may partly be due to the anal appendages of the holotype of G. stevensoni having been photographed at a distinct angle.
