Distribution in Iran. Guilan province, Siahkal, 36°56'N 49°54'E, 2♀, 23.viii.2013 (ex. Noctua pronuba (Linnaeus)) . New record for Iran.

General distribution. Palaearctic, Nearctic: Austria, Czech Republic, Spain (van Achterberg & Shaw 2016), Belgium ( Yu et al. 2012; van Achterberg & Shaw 2016), Canada, Korea, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, USA, Venezuela ( Yu et al. 2012), Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland ( Yu et al. 2012; van Achterberg & Shaw 2016), England, Ireland ( Yu et al. 2012; Broad et al. 2016; van Achterberg & Shaw 2016), Georgia ( Shaw et al. 1998), Scotland, Wales ( Broad et al. 2016; van Achterberg & Shaw 2016), Turkey ( Beyarslan 2015).

Hosts. Lepidoptera—Arctiidae: Pheosia sp. ( Shenefelt 1975; Shaw et al. 1998). Notodontidae : Natada gibbosa (Smith, 1797) on Quersus garryana ( Shaw et al. 1998, Yu et al. 2012); Nerice bidentata Walker, 1855 ( Yu et al. 2012) ; Clostera pigra (Hüfnagel, 1766) , Notodonta dromedarius (Linnaeus, 1767) , Notodonta ziczac (Linnaeus, 1758) , Phalera bucephala (Linnaeus, 1758) , Pheosia tremula (Clerck, 1759) , P. gnoma (Fabricius, 1777) , Pterosoma palpina (Clerck, 1759) , Ptilodon capucina (Linnaeus, 1758) (van Achterberg & Shaw 2016) .
