Distribution in Iran. East Azarbaijan (Rastegar et al. 2012), Isfahan ( Ghahari et al. 2011a).
General distribution. Holartic, Oceanic, Oriental. Austria , Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Poland, Russia, Scotland, Serbia, Siberia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, Turkey, former Yugoslavia ( Yu et al. 2012), Caucasus, Siberia, Western Europe ( Tobias 1986 as Rogas gasterator ), Madeira Islands (van Achterberg & Aguiar 2009).
Hosts. This species has been reported from various species of Lymantriidae and Noctuidae (Lepidoptera) as well as Curculionidae (Coleoptera) ( Shenefelt 1975; Zaykov 1977; Papp 1985). Coleoptera—Curculionidae: Rhinocyllus conicus Froelich, 1792 . Lepidoptera—Erebidae: Euproctis chrysorrhoea (Linnaeus, 1758) . Noctuidae : Autographa gamma (Linnaeus, 1758) ( Shenefelt 1975; Tobias 1986), Orgyia splendida (Rambur, 1842) ( Yu et al. 2012) .
