Type species. Klimaszewskityrus punctatus (by original monotypy for Klimaszewskia Yin & Zhang, 2021 ).

Etymology. The generic name is a combination of the last name of Jan Klimaszewski (staphylinid systematist, Québec, Canada) and Tyrus Aubé , the type genus of Tyrini . The gender is masculine.
