Diagnosis
Head fused (suture present) with pereonite 1. Pereonites 6 and 7 fused. Flagellum of antenna 1 more than two-articulate. Flagellum of antenna 2 two-articulate, swimming setae absent. Mandible molar present; mandible palp three-articulate, setal formula 2-x-1. Gills on pereonites 3 and 4. Pereopods 3 and 4 two-articulate. Pereopod 5 weak, six-articulate, distal article vestigial. Pereopods 6 and 7 six-articulate. Abdomen without appendages.

Etymology
The genus Luisacaprella is dedicated to Luisa Xarrié Blázquez, M. Luisa García Xarrié, M. Luisa Guerra García and Luis Ariza Guerra, grandmother, mother, sister and nephew of the author, respectively.
