= Eustrotia bella Bethune-Backer, 1911 , preoccupied by Maliattha bella (Staudinger, 1892) .

In addition, the species name Athetis bicornuta Han & Kononenko 2011 (described in the tribe Caradrinini , subfamily Noctuinae ) is recognized as a primary homonym of Athetis bicornuta Krüger, 2000 , a south African species ( Krüger 2000). The name bicornuta Han & Kononenko 2011 also requires a replacement name, which we provide here as Athetis bicornutoides nom. nov.
