Material examined. Chavgan village , 45 Km to Heydar-Abad, Azerbaijan Sharghi, (N 38° 32΄ 15.1˝, E 48° 08΄ 27.1 ˝), 1285m, ZUTC 6056 . Lahroud to Sabalan, on the way to Ghotoursouei, Azerbaijan Sharghi, (N 38° 19΄ 31.1˝, E 47° 51΄ 15.9 ˝) 2665m, ZUTC 6071 .
General distribution and habitats. Reported from northwestern Iran ( Cichocka et al. 2015). Living in subterranean freshwater habitats.
Descriptive features and remarks. Medium size leeches. Lateral keels present in post-clitellar region. Genital pores separated by three annuli. Body uni-colored yellowish brown or yellowish. Dorsally with irregular dark patches and ventrally light yellowish color. Eyes absent in the type material of original description. Present study individualss with eyes and present in surface waters.
