Limnatis nilotica (Savigny, 1822)
General distribution and habitats. A circum-Mediterranean species. In addition, recorded from Ukraine and the Crimean Peninsula, the Near and Middle East, the Arabian Peninsula and East Africa ( Nesemann & Neubert 1999). Commonly found in aquatic habitats frequently visited by herds of wild or domestic animals.
Remarks. This species was recorded by Grosser & Pešić (2006) from Kerman, southern Iran.
