Description. Forewing length in male 2.7–2.9 mm (mean = 2.8, n = 3). Red mark on frons and base of clypeus shaped like an inverted V; mesonotum in front of red mark light brown. Male genitalia with pygofer narrow. Genital styles oval, proximal dorsal process short with a wide base, its tip curved inwards; distal dorsal process with a broad base, nearly touching proximal process. Apical part of aedeagus with two prominent curved processes at its base, apex with two lobes, the right one with a pointed tip curved to the left.
Etymology. The species name is a Latin noun ( bos = a bull) used in apposition.
Type material. Holotype ♂, BRUNEI, labels: 1) Brunei , Labi / Bukit Teraja / 30km S.E. of Seria / 21–28.iii.1979 2) Primary mixed/dipterocarp/forest, alt. 60m. 3) light trap 2/ 50m. above ground/ L. Sutton /B.M. 1985-50 ( BMNH) . Paratypes. 3 ♂ same data as holotype , 2 ♂ same data as holotype but 25 and 75m above ground (fw. 2.7, 2x 2.9) ( BMNH) ; 1 ♂ among Borneo material ( BPBM) .
Distribution. North Borneo.
Diagnosis. Saccharodite bos is externally very similar to Sa. plurima sp. nov., also from Borneo. It can be recognized by the 2 prominent pointed processes at the base of the apical part of the male aedeagus.
