Additional description. The additional specimens examined show some variation in coloration: The forewings lack faint brown spots on Cu, Cu1, Ms1a and Ms1b, and only the apical parts of M and its sectors are coloured orange-red.

Etymology. The species name is a Latin adjective (lucidus, -a, -um = bright).

Type material. Holotype ♀, INDONESIA, Poespoe , East Java (no further data) ( BPBM, # 5207).

Note. Muir described this species from the female holotype. The original description does not mention the number of specimens but a later note ( Muir, 1917) does.

Additional material examined. INDONESIA: NORTH SULAWESI: Tangkoko Nat. Park, Gunung Tankoko , 50 m, 2 ♀, R . Bosmans and J. van Stalle ( IRSNB) .

Distribution. Philippines (Luzon Isl.), Indonesia (Sulawesi, Java, Sumatra).
