Etymology. The species name is a Latin adjective ( elongatus , -a, -um = elongated).

Type material. Holotype ♂, PHILIPPINES, Mindanao I., Misamis Or. Prov, Mt Pomalihi , 21 Km W of Gingoog City, 800–1000 m, 5.X.1965, H.M. Torrevillas ( BPBM #11,976 About BPBM ).

Distribution. Philippines (Mindanao and Basilan Isl.).
