Levu confinis Zelazny View in CoL , sp. nov.

( Fig. 162)

Description. Forewings 2.3 times longer than wide, length in male about 4.2–4.3 mm. Colour stramineous. Forewings white, powdered. Rostrum slightly surpassing post-trochanter; subantennal processes connected to margins of facial carinae. Forewings with Sc+R fork in basal third of wing; Ms1 branched in its basal quarter, a larger triangle at base of Ms1. Male genital styles oval; proximal dorsal process short and broad, distal dorsal process elongated, its base wide, nearly touching the proximal process. Aedeagus stem with a dorsal projection just before junction with apical part; apical portion with two pointed, terminal processes, curved ventrad and slightly diverging apically.

Etymology. The species name is a Latin adjective ( confinis , -is, -e = neighbouring).

Type material. Holotype ♂ (forewing 4.3 mm), VIETNAM; labels: 1) VIETNAM: Fyan / 30.VII.1961 / Malaise Trap / N. R. Spencer ( BPBM) . Paratype. VIETNAM, Fyan , 900–1000 m, 11. VII –9.VIII.1961, 1 ♂ (fw. 4.2), N. R . Spencer ( BPBM) .

Distribution. Vietnam.

Diagnosis. Levu confinis shows similarities to L. muiri Zelazny from the Philippines in forewing shape, venation and coloration. However, it has the subantennal processes connected to the margins of the facial carinae and no infuscated marks and veins on the forewings. In the male genital styles the bases of the dorsal processes almost touch each other, and the apical part of the aedeagus bears long terminal processes which diverge at the end.
