Rhamma tolimensis (Johnson, 1992) , species inquirenda
(no figures)
Pontirama tolimensis Johnson, 1992: 45 , figs. 134, 39.
Type material: Holotype female, Colombia, Monte Tolima, Central Cordillera, 3800 m, Fassl Collection, Deposited in MNHN.
Taxonomic history and remarks. This species was described by Johnson (1992) from a single female assigned to the genus Pontirama ; it was tentatively included in Rhamma by Robbins (2004). Based on the original illustrations of the holotype, we hypothesize that R. tolimensis is likely the female of Penaincisalia downeyi Johnson. However , we were unable to find additional male or female specimens or examine the genitalia of the holotype. In absence of compelling evidence, we continue treating this species under Rhamma .
Based on the holotype, this species could be confused with the female of R. anosma . However, R. anosma has reddish scaling scattered on the ventral hind- and forewing that is absent in R. tolimensis .
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
Material examined. We were only able to examine images of the holotype.
